Restrictions

This event shall be taking place on the Lyndon B Johnson National Grassland. In order to use this land, the Federal Government has issued the 20th Guards Mechanized Brigade a permit with a list of specific restrictions that SHALL be abided by at this event. These restrictions are in place with the intent of protecting this national treasure and ensuring that generations to come may enjoy it just as much and to the same quality that we shall experience. If you have any questions about any restrictions listed, please contact Ian Earle, Unit Komandir for the 20th GMB. The restrictions are as follows:
All participants shall bring at minimum 1 gallon of water with them. This gallon must either be hidden from view while at the event or in period correct containers. There shall also be several 5 gallon jugs strategically placed at various points on the site in case of emergency.

Parking shall only be allowed in the designated areas. These shall be shown on the map that will be provided at the event.

Leave No Trace land ethics are in place. If you bring it in with you YOU MUST BRING IT OUT. This means garbage, any signs, and spent brass. We are also not permitted to take anything with us that we did not take in. This also means that we will not be entrenching and, if we need to dig holes for anything (latrine, fire pit, etc) it must be re-covered to an acceptable fashion. We also will not be chopping down any live trees and such.

This event is period vehicle friendly. The only restrictions are that vehicles must stay on roads. However, if you watch the video under the "Location" tab above, the road network is extensive and this should not be that big of an issue.
All local authorities are aware of our event and instructions on emergency contacts shall be provided to you in the packet at the gate.

In the event that there is a burn ban, open flames shall not be permitted. In the event that no burn ban is in place, a fire watch must be posted with every active fire.
